About Erin Hisano Kogen
Erin counsels employers on proactive and preventative practices to minimize risk, maintain a healthy work place and avoid litigation. Growing up, Erin’s family owned several small businesses in Honolulu and she saw first-hand the vital role local businesses play in the community. She is passionate about collaborating with executives, business owners, managers and employees to find effective and efficient solutions.
Erin began her career in 2011 with Marr Jones & Wang, a firm dedicated to management-side labor and employment law. She advised and represented employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies, mediators and arbitrators on labor and employment matters and grievances.
From 2015 to 2021, Erin served as a Sr. HR Consultant/Staff Attorney at ProService Hawaii, the largest HR solutions provider in the state, where she was the dedicated compliance and strategic expert for 300 local companies ranging in 5 to 1000 employees. Erin also drafted and updated key HR documents, conducted workplace investigations and led trainings on a wide range of topics such as preventing harassment to a multi-part management certification program.
Erin was a Congressional Intern to the late Senator Daniel K. Inouye and is a Pacific Century Fellow, Class of 2018. In 2022, Erin was selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star. Erin lives in Honolulu with her husband and two daughters and enjoys spending time in the water.
